Cause & Response

Tim Koch

Every action in time is irreversible and affects what will happen in the future. Isn't that crazy?
Many thanks to Jon Fink (Jon of the Atom/Dead Canaries/New Wave Dirt) for recording the clarinets.

cause & response

a road chosen for an afternoon drive
its rising and it winds
they dirty glass refelects the light in my eyes
its burning and it blinds
theres a childs eyes that cry because of lost control

an ocean chosen for a morning swim
there's swellings and there's tides
no cessation for a thirst but to drown on in
there's no one for miles
there's a laden soul thats lost because its all alone

a deck of cards to represent the stars
she says i keep mine too close to my chest
and that these days of chronic malaise and self-effacing claims
they shadow what you love best
there's a heavy heart that melts from her light and airy tone
